Hello Everyone!
I have a fabulous freebie for you today: A 7-page fire safety booklet for your kiddos.
Fire Prevention Week is in October so I thought I’d get a jump on things this year. If you haven’t already read it, be sure to check out a recent post about some great books to help teach about fire safety.
This booklet includes a title page and then follows up with 6 kid-friendly safety rules from Sparky the Fire Dog.
6 FIRE SAFETY RULES
- Don’t play with matches.
- Don’t hide. Go outside.
- Fall and crawl.
- Stop, drop and roll.
- Have an escape plan.
- Call 911.
Here’s what it looks like:
Each booklet page fits on an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper. The idea is to have your kids illustrate each rule, then cut out the fire hydrants and staple them altogether at the top so that the pages flip over the top.
I’ve also included an extra 4 pages, as you can see in the image above. I thought it would be fun to have a bit more flexibility when you’re planning your booklet.

Be sure to check back in a few days ’cause I’m going to post a free fire safety word search. And then after that I’ll be sharing some free clip art!
Take care.
