Inside: Lots of Christmas art inspiration for your elementary students.
I took a tour of my school yesterday and rounded up a whole bunch of beautiful art pics. I hope you enjoy them and are inspired to try out one or two for yourself:)
I think this Christmas tree is especially beautiful. The funny thing is, it’s actually a “happy accident”. The Grade 4 teacher told me that they started out with just the trees (no glitter, no background). But everyone decided they were too boring, so they brainstormed ways to jazz them up. The kids came up with the idea of adding the glitter and the snowy background. I think they’re absolutely dazzling!
The doily Santa came from my room! I drew the lines for the kids to cut out (i.e., mustache, hat, body, nose and eyes).
These beautiful “Peace Paintings” were created by a Grade 5 class. They remind me of stained glass windows, and come to think of it, that’s quite possibly what they’re meant to represent. All of them were equally as beautiful!
This sweet little snowman globe (do you see the footprint?) was made by a Kindergarten student!
I think this was from a Grade 2 class. Don’t you love the snowflake on the tongue?
The photo I took doesn’t do these beautiful winter trees justice. They’re MUCH prettier in real life. The trunks are ripped paper and the grass is painted paper that was then cut out and glued on.
Gotta love these sweet reindeer, especially the one with the eye roll! Haha!
The snowman ornament was also from a Kindergarten class. So charming!
These last two, obviously aren’t Christmas related, although we HAVE been getting TONS of rain. I mean, seriously, it’s been crazy. But I just thought they were too lovely to leave out.
I also have photos and directions for some really gorgeous tissue trees, last year’s Christmas Art Tour, AND some printable Christmas books.
Thanks for stopping by!
Your school hallways must look amazing.
Thanks, Sandi. I have to say, they do look pretty wonderful.
Lovely! My favorites are the doves and leaves. Lately, I've enjoyed running beneath the falling golden leaves here in Texas.
I always enjoy your school art tours. I do the snowflake on the tongue one, but I'd never thought of using a sticker. That is a sticker, right? Brilliant.
Yup, that's a sticker. Glad you like the tours:)
Thanks, Tina. Fall is my favourite running time!
Great art tour! I like that the students came up with the ideas for jazzing up their Christmas tree art! It turned out beautifully!Lori
Great photo gallery of the school artwork, Barb. I kept meaning to do around and take photos to post on the school website. I so enjoy walking through the halls and admiring the amazing artwork that is created at our school. Thank you for posting it.
Thanks, Martha, and you're very welcome:) Merry Christmas!
Thanks, Lori! It's always fun to see how talented many of the students are.
