Beautiful Chinese Dragon Paper Bag Puppet

I just finished making a puppet to add to my ever-growing collection.

This one is a Chinese dragon puppet and it’s perfect to add to your repertoire of Lunar New Year classroom celebrations. Which, by the way, begins January 22, 2023.

2023 is the year of the rabbit, which is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture, which means 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope. I like that!

The Chinese New Year lasts for 16 days, beginning with New Year’s Eve on January 21/23, New Year’s Day on January 22 and the Lantern Festival on February 5/23.

If you buy the puppet you’ll receive a pdf file containing:

  • BW puppet template
  • Colored puppet template
  • Directions
  • AND lined and unlined Chinese dragon writing paper

If you’re looking for some theme-related books, I wrote book reviews of Sam and the Lucky Money and The Runaway Wok. I really love these two books so I hope you check them out.

I also wrote a post called “10 Fabulous New Year’s Books” which includes three titles about the Chinese New Year.

Thanks for stopping by.

Gung hay fat choy! Wishing you great happiness and prosperity.
