Inside: A free Christmas writing template and links to Christmas book freebies.
Hello!
Two years ago I made a couple of little Christmas books that I read to my class over the days leading up to Christmas break. Both these books are patterned after Eric Carle’s Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

FREE CHRISTMAS WRITING TEMPLATE
Tomorrow the kids are going to write their own versions of the books above, beginning with “Santa Claus, Santa Claus, what do you see?”.
Feel free to grab the template if you’d like to do the same.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the pattern, it’s “Santa Claus, Santa Claus, what do you see? I see an elf looking at me. Elf, Elf, what do you see? I see snow looking at me. Snow, snow, what do you see? I see reindeer looking at me” etc. But of course, the kids can substitute any words they like for elf, snow and reindeer.

SANTA ART
A week and a half ago my class drew and painted these fabulous Santas with my equally fabulous TOC (teacher-on-call).
CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT ART
Last week we made these Christmas ornaments. The idea came from Jennifer at First Grade Blue Skies. I LOVE how they turned out!
I have to go now, but stay tuned for our Christmas Around the World activities!
