I've been VERY fortunate recently and have won a couple of awesome items. Some HUGE thank you's are overdue.
I won this book for my school from Vivian Kirkfield, a children's author and blogger. It's called Show Me How! Build Your Child's Self-Esteem Through Reading, Crafting and Cooking. Vivian highlights 100 different picture books and describes a related craft and recipe for each story. I wish I had this book when my boys were toddlers ~ it looks like so much fun!
You can buy her book from Amazon for just 19.99 and she's got this cool youtube video you can check out. It's part of her weekly video series.
Thank you very very much, Vivian!!
A few days ago I got an email from Marie, The Hands-On Teacher, to tell me I'd won this autographed Steve Spangler book!
I'm super excited about this because I've been trying to beef up my own Science. We do lots of cool things, but not so many experiments. It's hard to believe I ran a lunch-hour Mad Scientists Club many years ago:) BTW, be sure to come back tomorrow because I'll be sharing an experiment we did on Thursday (it's VERY cool!).
Thank you, Marie! You're the best :)
I'd like to give a shout-out to a brand new Canadian blogger. Heather, from Bumblebibi just lives a hop, skip and a jump away. Okay, she's in Calgary, but hey, it's Western Canada, so that makes it close. I could hop and my car and land on her doorstep in about 13 hours (that darn ferry slows us down a little:). I also had the great pleasure of designing her new blog for her. Pop on over and sign up ... she only has 3 followers right now:)
Also, my friend, Lisa, at Growing Firsties is having an awesome Pete the Cat Giveaway.
You can win a Pete book, a large Pete stuffy AND Lisa's donating money to the Sandy Hurricane victims. Do NOT miss this giveaway. It's a good one!!
Here's a spelling freebie for you. I've laminated about 8 of these Tic Tac Toe boards for the kids to use during Word Work. Instead of playing with x's and o's, you play with two different sight words. The laminated paper works super well with those Vis-a-Vis overhead pens.
You can grab some Halloween boards here.
Thanks for stopping by!
