Hi there!
We made the sweetest bears last week.
The lesson plan came from Deep Space Sparkle, one of my favourite go-to art sites. It’s not a freebie but for $4.99 (I THINK that’s what I paid), you get detailed instructions and templates for three different bears (brown, polar, panda). Totally worth the money!
We started off painting our paper in three different shades of brown.
The kids then dragged a fork over the wet paint for some bear fur. The plastic forks worked best. The metal ones tended to rip the paper.
After the paper dried, we traced the various body parts then glued them onto the sheets. I also bought scrapbook paper which the kids used to trace and cut out fall leaves.
Don’t you just love the one on the bottom right? It looks like he’s jumping for joy:)
