Inside: You’ll find a poem about eggs and some broken egg templates for sight word fun.
Spring time is a fun time to learn about eggs.
As you probably know, I like to have a poem for just about every occasion!
I found this really cute poem for you called “Batches of Hatches”. It comes from  Poems for Sight-Word Practice by Laureen Reynolds (above) and is perfect if you’re learning about eggs.
This book has lots of other great poems, too and I highly recommend it!
You can grab a copy of the poem with and without the illustrations.

Spring Sight Word Practice
This week we practiced building sight words and playing with a cracked egg puzzle. It was a good way to review blends and word endings.
I made a few puzzle sets each in a different colour and put them in my Word Work Centre. The kids enjoyed them and they were great practice!
If you’d like to make your own sight word puzzles you can download the egg templates below.
Thanks for the cute poem Barbara! This will be great for what we are doing now in science!Lori @bee-the-change.blogspot.com
