Inside: Directions and printable for Easter writing, plus some Easter bunny art.
If you’re looking for a last minute easy Easter writing activity, you might want to try this: Stories using Easter stickers as writing prompts.
Be sure to read to the bottom because there’s also a super cute rabbit art project.
All I did was let the kids choose their own Easter sticker(s) to write a story around.
Before we started we did LOTS of brainstorming about the kinds of stories we could write. We even practiced telling stories orally, using different stickers as our prompts.
By the time the kids started writing, they were well-primed.
I used the egg template (download below) to pre-cut some lined paper into egg shapes.
When the stories were complete the students coloured in their eggs and then we stapled the stories beneath.

BUNNY ART
We also made these sweet little bunnies. This idea came from Jill at Mrs. T’s First Grade Class.
Jill has a free template for the various parts of the bunny.
Your students will use those to trace the ears, head, etc. from an assortment of scrapbook paper OR wallpaper samples.
Once the various shapes are cut out it’s simply a matter of gluing them into place. I took the precaution of asking my students to lay their shapes out before gluing. That way I could check to ensure we wouldn’t have to peel off and reposition some incorrectly placed pieces.
Once everything was in place we finished them off with a cotton puff ball for a tail.
This is a super easy project and my students LOVED it!
I just LOVE how they turned out. We got lots of sweet compliments.
BTW, I also have lots of cute Easter Eggs for colouring or making Easter egg-shaped booklets. Click the image below to find them in my store.
