Inside: You’ll find a lost tooth chart, graph and tooth clip art. All free!
Absolutely nothing is more exciting for a 5 or 6 year old than losing a tooth ~ especially that first tooth!
And Kindergarten and Grade 1 teachers know this happens all the time.
At our school the kids can go to the office and collect a plastic tooth necklace whenever they lose a tooth at school. Those are such coveted items that sometimes kiddies even bring a tooth from home to get the necklace!
At school we always keep track of our lost teeth because that’s what you do with the important stuff.

First up is our Lost Teeth chart. This is a fun way to keep track of all those missing pearly whites. Just print your kiddos’ names in the appropriate month every time they lose a tooth.
Some years I’ll also add a little tooth sticker beside each name just to jazz things up a bit. The stickers below are super cute ’cause they also have toothpaste and tooth brushes (affiliate link).
I also like to have a Lost Tooth Graph because it’s such an easy way to integrate some math into my students’ lives.
This can be a fun activity at the end of the year, too. Just give everyone a copy of the blank graph and have them recreate the classroom graph from the year. Then you can ask them questions about the data: Who lost the most teeth? In which month did we lose the most teeth? The least amount of teeth?
The graph I made is very simple, but it looks nice when enlarged on the photocopier to 11×14. I’ve off-centred the teeth, so that the children’s names can be printed beside the teeth, and the teeth coloured in.
