Inside you'll find a template for making the cutest valentine day treats bags!
This little project was so easy that kids could easily complete it independently during centres. The instructions show the finished dog so it's very clear how it's all put together.
I love, though, how some of my kids have their dog ears flying out to the side!
I got the bags from Michaels when they happened to be on sale -- or maybe I had a coupon, I can't quite remember. They're a bit pricey so if you don't have a coupon you'll probably want to make them with brown lunch bags. We've done that lots of times and they still look fabulous.
I hope you enjoy making your Valentine treat bags!
BTW, this ISN'T my idea. All the credit goes to Jill at Mrs. T's First Grade Class. Be sure to check out her blog, she has some amazing math ideas, too. Thank you, Jill!!
And if you're looking for a fun book The Biggest Valentine Ever by Steven Kroll might fit the bill. It's a sweet story about two mice called Desmond and Clayton who cooperate to make the best and biggest Valentine for their teacher.
