Inside: Free gingerbread math games for primary children.
Hi Friends! I have two sweet Christmas math games for you today.
I love playing Bump with my class. It’s easy to teach, easy to learn, and it provides lots of focused math practice.
Since it’s almost Christmas, the Bump games I’m sharing with you have a gingerbread man theme.
The first game is addition to 12 and is played with two dice.
The second game is addition to 18 and is played with three dice.
The directions are on each game.
Bonus! In case you don’t want to use up your colour ink I’ve also provided the same two games in black and white.
I often have my students play Bump games with interlocking cubes but it’s not necessary. You can also play with the red/yellow round counters, or the red/white bean-shaped counters.
If you have the transparent bingo chips, those are good too because then the kids can see through the counters to the number.
Just be sure that if you’re using the bingo chips or cubes, that each player has access to 10 counters of the same colour.
