Inside: Some pinterest Christmas inspiration. Three fabulous art projects for kids.
Hi Everyone! It's time again for the Pick 3 Top Pinterest Picks, hosted by Inspired Owl's Corner and Pawsitively Teaching.
My picks are all art related because that's what inspires me the most at Christmas time. I could seriously do art all day long if I could get away with it:)
Here we go: My first pick is this sweet snowman from Artsonia.. I love the perspective and the black outlines. It looks like a watercolour wash with some white crayon resist snowflakes in the background. Love the crazy sky colours and the way the snowman is kind of peeking at us from the side of the paper.

My second pick is this collection of sweet owl ornaments. I usually do the snowman hand ornaments as Christmas gifts for the parents, but I'm thinking I may have to change that up this year. This image is from the now deleted Meet the Dubiens blog.

And for number three, I've chosen to share this beautiful oil pastel Christmas tree. If you visit my pinterest link and then go to Elementary Art Fun for the original post, you can see lots more examples...definitely worth checking out.

Oh, love number 1 -- the snowman. I'm going to see if we can do that in my class. Sara
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara! I was thinking today that I'm going to save that one for January. Hopefully we'll have some snow then:) Good luck with yours!
DeleteI love your pins...esp the snowman art!! Thanks for linking up with us!
ReplyDeleteThanks ... and you're welcome:)
DeleteI've never used oil pastels but I think I need to now that I saw that cute Christmas tree. I love the look!!
ReplyDeleteWe used oil pastels just the other day for some Ted Harrison paintings. The kids really enjoy using them and I find they're pretty good with them ... not too many smudges:)
DeleteI love everyone of your pins....I think the last one is my favorite! I think my kids would really enjoy trying any of these ideas! Thanks for sharing and linking up with us!
ReplyDeleteHey, you're welcome! Thanks for the linky. I'm going to try all of them, too:)
DeleteI'm liking the snowman too. I can imagine how unique each one would be.
ReplyDeleteWe should plan to do them the same day! That would be fun:)
DeleteBeautiful! The owls are so cute, but I have to say I really like the snowman too!
