It's not quite September (that's when I said I'd be back from my blogging holiday), but I had to share this with you.
You may know I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It's a 1 1/2 hour ferry ride from Vancouver.
There are lots of islands between us and Vancouver and one of them is Galiano. This fabulous video was taken by someone on Galiano Island and it's breath-taking!
I'm not sure why there are so many orcas in one spot ~ a party maybe? ~ but if you're a whale fan, or even if you're not, it's worth watching.
Enjoy!
This is awesome! I seriously want a pet orca... and penguin.... and monkey.... and polar bear

Haha. Good luck with all those pets:)
DeleteYou live in such a beautiful part of the world. Wow that was amazing footage. We have whales sometimes in my area and dolphins all the time but no Orcas...at least that I know of.

Book week parade day tomorrow at my school. Looking forward to some dress up fun with the little Learners.
Book week parade day sounds like a whale of fun:)
DeleteWhat a beautiful sight! I would love to have seen that in person!

We have manatees in our warm waters here in S Florida and barracudas, some sharks but nothing like that!

That was truly amazing. I sure wish I could have been there!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a thrill it must have been to see them! Galiano is so beautiful and the orcas would've been a huge bonus. It's pretty exciting just to see a small pod from the ferry.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this. My whole family enjoyed it. That would be such a sight to see!

Better than Sea World! I've always loved Orcas but have never seen one in the wild. Cool!
