Inside: You'll receive two free snowman addition to 12 games.
Hello! A HUGE part of our Grade 1 math curriculum is Number Sense, so that's what we've been doing in my class since September.
But now it's time for us to move onto some serious addition in the New Year. I made up a couple of little games your kids might like. I think they're pretty self explanatory. They both practice addition to 12 using two dice.
Roll and Add a Snowman can be played alone or with a partner (a race to see who draws their snowman first).
Snowman Addition needs at least two players.

I love the snowman games too and am about to ask the worlds silliest question. So, when you do these "roll a..." what if you roll something like a nose but you have no other parts of the body? Do you place the nose where you think it will go? Just wondering if there are any tricks to this...
ReplyDeleteLOVE, downloaded and can't wait to use it in January!!!! :)

Crisscross Applesauce in First Grade
That's a really good question Holly. I thought about that and decided it might be kind of interesting to let that happen. But for kindies I would change it up and give them the snowman shape to start with. Hmmm . . . Maybe I'll make another version :)
ReplyDeleteTake care.
And thanks, Sheree!
I can't wait to use the "Roll and Add Snowman" in January! So cute!
