Grade 1 students LOVE to keep track of their loose and lost teeth.
Like most primary teachers I have a tooth poster in my classroom for just that purpose. I also hand out a tooth sticker and we read and sing a couple of teeth poems.
You can download them below:
Do you have any beginning of the year or September poem you like to use in your class? If so, I’d love to hear in the comments.

Cute poems! Little ones are so excited when they lose a tooth. 🙂 I will try to get linked up with you this week with a September poem!LoriConversations in Literacy
What great poems. There are very few things more important to a first grader than a loose tooth. :)❀ TammyForever in First
I like the poems! I bought some little plastic tooth necklaces from Really Good Stuff so when the kids lose a tooth it goes inside the tooth and they proudly wear it the rest of the day. The poem would be cute to recite while I'm putting on the necklace. Thanks for sharing. BTW Hope you enjoyed your break! :)KellyI'm Not Your Grandpa, I'm Your Teacher
Thanks for the poems. I pinned them to use when we have our dental health screen.Sandi
I've missed you! Still waiting for your classroom pics. Thanks for the poems. You reminded me that I forgot to get stuff for lost teeth! Must order those necklaces or something.xo Kimberley
