Orcas!

It's not quite September (that's when I said I'd be back from my blogging holiday), but I had to share this with you.

You may know I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It's a 1 1/2 hour ferry ride from Vancouver.

There are lots of islands between us and Vancouver and one of them is Galiano. This fabulous video was taken by someone on Galiano Island and it's breath-taking!

I'm not sure why there are so many orcas in one spot ~ a party maybe? ~ but if you're a whale fan, or even if you're not, it's worth watching.

Enjoy!

  2. You live in such a beautiful part of the world. Wow that was amazing footage. We have whales sometimes in my area and dolphins all the time but no Orcas...at least that I know of.

  6. What a thrill it must have been to see them! Galiano is so beautiful and the orcas would've been a huge bonus. It's pretty exciting just to see a small pod from the ferry.
