Scaredy Squirrel, we love you!
We’ve spent the last week looking at a variety of Scaredy books. Well, not Halloween or Christmas, but all the others!
Like most 6-year-olds, my class adores these books.
Before we read the birthday party book I had my kids predict what they thought Scaredy was afraid of this time! He’s such a silly squirrel.
The kids shared their predictions and then we read the book. He’s afraid of so many things that lots of my kids hit the jackpot. Isn’t it funny that no matter how many times you tell them there’s no right or wrong answer with predictions, they all think they’ve “won” when they get it right.
We also made these adorable Scaredy Squirrels from Amanda at First Grade Garden. (Sorry there’s no link. Her blog isn’t working properly).
