We’ve just started Fact Families in Grade 1.
I’m taking it slow and easy because every year my students find this concept pretty challenging.
Here’s an easy activity we’re doing tomorrow.
Every child receives the sheet above (click on it to grab) and a deck of Power of Ten cards (see below).
They flip over a card, colour the 10 frame to match their card, then fill in the appropriate number sentences.
