Must Have Picture Books AND Giveaway!

I'm joining this fun linky, hosted by The Teacher Wife, where you can highlight some of your favourite books. Like everyone else, I found it very hard to choose just five.

I LOVE the Stella and Sam books. There's a whole series of them by Canadian author, Marie Louise Gay.

I used to have a little Westie called Gizmo. He was a feisty little guy and these books remind me of him. They're perfect for the Grade 1 set ... fairly easy to read.

Mice and bears! What a great combination. I love all the books by Don and Audrey Wood, but this is definitely a fave.

The Library Lion is one of the sweetest books around. It almost makes me cry when I read it ~ but it has a VERY happy ending :)

This book has the most beautiful photos and is perfect for introducing children to nature.

  5. I forgot about Stella! I just love her. Lost in the Woods looks beautiful-I'm going to try to do more with nature in the classroom this year-so that one would be just perfect. Thanks for the suggestion!
