We're currently reviewing Fact Families ~ I find this a tough one to teach ~ help! Here's a little book you might like to help your kids along. Each booklet represents one fact family. On the title page, the students print the "whole" on the top corner of the triangle and the "parts" on the bottom corners.
The students print the answers to their number sentences in the boxes. Then the little snowmen are cut out and glued on top, for a peek-a-boo effect. Does that make sense?
I try to differentiate the activity by letting the kids pick their own family to illustrate. Click on any pic for the download ~ have fun!
And I'd like to extend a great big thank you to Sheree from Peterson's Pad for the Versatile Blogger Award.
Thank you, Sheree :) It's always such a kick to realize people are actually reading your posts. I'm sure you already "know" her, but if not, click on her button above. She has lots of fabulous ideas and has also just opened a "store" at the Teachers Notebook.
You can see my response here :)
Have a great evening.
